Convert salary using your actual schedule
A salary-to-hourly conversion depends on how many hours and weeks you expect to work. A $60,000 salary divided by 2,080 annual hours—40 hours per week for 52 weeks—works out to about $28.85 per hour. If you work fewer weeks, take unpaid time off, or routinely work more than 40 hours, the equivalent hourly value changes. That is why this calculator lets you change both weekly hours and weeks per year instead of assuming every schedule is identical.
Useful for comparing compensation formats
The weekly, biweekly, semimonthly, and monthly figures can make offers easier to compare when one employer quotes an annual salary and another quotes an hourly rate. These are gross-pay equivalents only. They do not include overtime eligibility, bonuses, commissions, employer-paid benefits, paid leave, taxes, or deductions, all of which can materially change the value of a compensation package. Use the result as a common baseline, not as a complete benefits comparison.
